Basketball Recap: Abilene Christian's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Abilene Christian had won two straight games and Bryinn Waggoner did his part to make it three on Friday. The Abilene Christian Panthers took their contest with ease, bagging a 73-44 victory over the Weatherford Christian Lions thanks in part to Waggoner, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 assists. Those 12 assists gave him a new career-high.

Another player making a difference was Colby Morrison, who posted 16 points and seven steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played.

Abilene Christian's win bumped their record up to 20-6. As for Weatherford Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-14.

Abilene Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 67-61 loss against Lubbock Christian on the 18th. As for Weatherford Christian, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Covenant Classical at 7:30 p.m. on January 31st.
