Baseball Recap: Bartram Trail Has No Trouble Against Fleming Island

Bartram Trail had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Fleming Island on Thursday. Bartram Trail was the clear victor by a 9-3 margin over Fleming Island. That looming 9-3 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bears yet this season.

Coleson Baum looked comfortable as he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He is becoming a predictor of Bartram Trail's success: when he allows at most two hits the team is 4-2 (and 4-8 when he doesn't).

On the hitting side, Luke Labbe was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Bartram Trail is 3-1 when Labbe posts two or more runs, but 5-9 otherwise. Dominic Cantona also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
