Softball Recap: Montgomery Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Montgomery can now relate to. They fell 5-0 to the Pinole Valley Spartans on Wednesday. That's two games in a row now that the Vikings have lost by exactly five runs.

Montgomery has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-16 record this season. As for Pinole Valley, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-7.

Montgomery does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pinole Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Tamalpais at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans are facing the Red Tailed Hawks at the right time seeing as the Red Tailed Hawks are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
