Softball Recap: West Lincoln Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact West Lincoln can now relate to. They lost 14-3 to the Pisgah Dragons on Thursday. The Bears haven't had much luck with the Dragons recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

West Lincoln saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryleigh Purdy, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

West Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 9-17. As for Pisgah, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 20-8.

West Lincoln does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pisgah, they will challenge Clarkdale at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something the Dragons surely won't give up without a fight.
