Soccer Game Preview: Marengo vs. Woodstock North

Marengo is 0-10 against Woodstock North since March of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Indians will head out to take on the Thunder at 4:30 p.m. The two teams each escaped with close wins against their previous opponents.

While Marengo didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-16-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Winnebago on Saturday, sneaking past 2-1. That's two games straight that Marengo has won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Woodstock North's game on Monday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They skirted past Guilford 2-1.

Serena Banushi was the driving force of Woodstock North's attack as she scored both of Woodstock North's goals, bringing her season total up to two goals.

Woodstock North's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Marengo, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1-1.

Marengo might still be hurting after the 6-2 defeat they got from Woodstock North in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
