Baseball Recap: Lakeside School's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Lakeside School ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top against the Providence Christian Academy LIONS by a score of 12-8. Winning may never get old, but the Chiefs sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Conner Britton made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, Tyler Mark Bullock was incredible, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had over his last ten matchups. Brayden Vachon was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.

Lakeside School was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .450. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive contests.

Lakeside School pushed their record up to 33-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Providence Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7-1.
