Soccer Recap: Greenville Comes Up Short

Greenville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They came up short against the Anna Coyotes, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 653rd, while the Coyotes are ranked 188th).

Greenville's loss dropped their record down to 0-11-1. As for Anna, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3-1.

Greenville will host Denison at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Greenville is facing Denison at the right time seeing as Denison is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Anna, they will venture away from home to take on Sherman at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Anna is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.3 goals per game this season.
