The third road  game was the charm for Douglas, as they earned their first away  victory of the season. They blew past the Coquille Red Devils 35-8  on Friday. The  contest marked the Trojans' most dominant  win of the  season.
Leading Douglas to victory were  Ryder Sawyer and  Jaden Burkhart.  Sawyer rushed for 91 yards and one  score on only 12 carries, while  Burkhart rushed for 89 yards and three  touchdowns. Those  three  rushing touchdowns gave  Burkhart a new career-high.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Douglas was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 206  rushing yards. That's a new  trend for them: they were averaging 79.2  rushing yards per game earlier this season, but in their last five matchups they've averaged 204.7.
 On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Douglas' defense and their three sacks.  Uriah Young refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5  sacks all by himself.
The  victory was their first  on the road , bumping their record up to 3-4. As for Coquille, their  defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-3.
