Ballston Spa has struggled against Columbia recently, as their contest on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Ballston Spa's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sophia Lee, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mallory Sprissler, who scored six points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Ballston Spa has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season. As for Columbia, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-6.
Ballston Spa will be playing at home against Schenectady at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Schenectady is coming into the contest with seven straight losses on the road, meaning Ballston Spa will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory. Columbia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
