Softball Recap: St. Joseph Wildcats vs. Mainland Regional Mustangs

While St. Joseph put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Mainland Regional. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Mustangs. The Wildcats have beaten the Mustangs the last seven times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Mustangs has come to flipping the script.

Elaina Portalatin was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.
