Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Cesar Chavez's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Tucson High Magnet School on Friday. The Champions have struggled against the Badgers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Cesar Chavez saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Garcia, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Cesar Chavez's defeat dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Marana, their loss dropped their record down to 8-18.
