Basketball Recap: North Moore Wins Going Away Against Graham

North Moore lost to Graham back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The North Moore Mustangs took down the Graham Red Devils 67-53. The Mustangs pushed the score to 53-33 by the end of the third, a deficit the Red Devils cut but never quite recovered from.

North Moore had a senior duo take command as Brady Preslar went 11 of 15 en route to 25 points and Colby Pennington dropped a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pennington has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Powell, who posted seven points and seven assists.

North Moore was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Graham's loss came despite strong showings from Kordell Hinton and Ladario Johnson. Hinton went 7 for 11 on his way to 20 points, while Johnson went 5 of 10 to rack up 14 points. Johnson is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last 13 games he's played.

North Moore picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 5-14. As for Graham, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-17.

North Moore has already played their next game, an 82-70 loss against Cummings on the 11th. As for Graham, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 84-34 defeat against Southeast Alamance on the 11th.
