Basketball Game Preview: Clark Cougars vs. Churchill Chargers

Clark and Churchill are an even 5-5 against one another since November of 2017, but not for long. The Clark Cougars will head out to challenge the Churchill Chargers at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Clark has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.

Clark is headed into the match after thoroughly thrashing LEE: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Clark blew LEE out of the water with a 62-31 final score. That looming 62-31 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Cougars yet this season.

It was another big night for Jaden Flemons, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and ten steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15.5 points per game. Andrew Vidouria was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.

Clark smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in November.

Meanwhile, Churchill suffered their closest loss since November 26th last Friday. They fell just short of Madison by a score of 72-69. The Chargers' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Churchill's loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Clark, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Clark beat Churchill 62-55 in their previous meeting back in February. Will Clark repeat their success, or does Churchill have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
