Basketball Recap: Hector Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Hector waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Nemo Vista Red Hawks 80-54. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 24 points or more this season.

Hector's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Nemo Vista, they now have a losing record at 9-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hector will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Ouachita at 1:45 p.m. on January 2, 2025. Hector knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Ouachita likes a good challenge.
