Softball Game Preview: North Rose-Wolcott Cougars vs. Williamson Marauders

16 must be North Rose-Wolcott's lucky number: they beat Gananda Central with that score not once but twice on Thursday. The Cougars beat the Blue Panthers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 16-13. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

Meanwhile, Williamson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Lyons, falling 20-8. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Olivia Bearce made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with four stolen bases and one run. Jessica Shanley was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

North Rose-Wolcott's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Williamson, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.
