Basketball Recap: Veritas Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Concordia last Tuesday, Veritas Academy came back down to earth. Veritas Academy were dealt a 61-33 defeat at the hands of the Vanguard College Prep Vikings on Thursday.

Veritas Academy dropped their record down to 11-10 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Vanguard College Prep, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-9.

Veritas Academy will head out on the road to face off against Round Rock Christian Academy at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday. Veritas Academy is facing Round Rock Christian Academy at the right time seeing as Round Rock Christian Academy is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Vanguard College Prep, they will take on Texas School for the Deaf at 5:45 p.m. on Saturday. Texas School for the Deaf's defense has only allowed 19.4 points per game this season, so Vanguard College Prep's offense will have their work cut out for them.
