Baseball Recap: Perry Gets the Win

Perry was forced to take a big defeat against Leslie on Tuesday, they got the better of them on Tuesday. The Ramblers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Blackhawks a 6-0 shutout. This was a revenge game for the Ramblers: when they faced off against the Blackhawks on Tuesday, they had to take a 10-4 loss.

Perry's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Olyan McFarland, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. Those two RBI gave McFarland a new career-high. Another was Nolan Krupp, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Perry now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Leslie, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Perry and Leslie will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Ramblers see the field they'll take on Byron at 4:00 p.m. on April 7. As for Leslie, their break will end when they face Columbia Central at 4:00 p.m. on April 7.
