Volleyball Recap: Stratton Extends Winning Streak to Three

Stratton waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Akron Rams. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 last Saturday.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Stratton who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 23-25, 15-12.

Kinsleigh Brachtenbach paced Stratton's offense, picking up 13 kills. Brachtenbach got some help from Camory Wedel and her 21 assists. Brachtenbach was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Stratton's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Akron, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.

Stratton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Holyoke on the 27th. As for Akron, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against McClave on the 27th.
