Stratton proved they can win big on Friday (they won by three) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Akron Rams 2-1. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Stratton got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 23-25, 15-12.

Stratton's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Akron, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Stratton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Holyoke on the 27th. As for Akron, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against McClave on the 27th.
