Softball Recap: State College's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

It was a good run, but State College unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against the Cumberland Valley Eagles, falling 9-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Little Lions have suffered against the Eagles since April 10, 2018.

State College saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Harpster, who went 1-for-2 with one triple.

State College's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Cumberland Valley, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. State College will take on rival Central Dauphin at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Little Lions 3.9, the Rams 1.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Cumberland Valley is set to challenge their familiar foe Mifflin County at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
