Basketball Recap: Hanover Park Hornets vs. Parsippany Redhawks
The Hanover Park Hornets won the last time they faced the Parsippany Redhawks, and things went their way on Monday too. Hanover Park blew past the Redhawks 60-40. Given Hanover Park's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th, while the Redhawks are ranked 324th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Several Redhawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Arthur Smith, who scored ten points along with five assists. Another player making a difference was Charlie Cordasco, who scored nine points.
Hanover Park has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for Parsippany, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-9.
