Softball Recap: West Washington Senators vs. Eastern Musketeers

West Washington put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Eastern Musketeers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as West Washington also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2023.

Elliot Nance spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts every time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Meredith Deaton was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and three RBI.

West Washington pushed their record up to 13-0 with that win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Eastern, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

West Washington will look to defend their home field on Monday against Mitchell at 5:00 p.m. Mitchell is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season. As for Eastern, they will head out on the road to take on North Harrison at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
