Basketball Recap: Tarbut V' Torah Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Tarbut V' Torah can now relate to. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Saturday and fell 47-46 to the Pacifica Mariners.

Tarbut V' Torah's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jacob Coblentz-Brown, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Coblentz-Brown is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last 12 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Graydon Carpet, who posted 15 points and six rebounds.

Tarbut V' Torah's defeat dropped their record down to 16-4. As for Pacifica, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 19-11.

Tarbut V' Torah does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pacifica, they will square off against Cate at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cate knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight matchups -- so hopefully Pacifica likes a good challenge.
