Baseball Game Preview: Mountain View Mountain Lions vs. Severance Silver Knights

For the second straight game, Mountain View will face off against Severance. The Mountain Lions will be playing at home against the Silver Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Mountain View has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Severance will arrive with five straight victories.

Mountain View lost 9-3 to Severance on Saturday.

For Severance's part, Dom Torres and Braeden Kerksiek did most of the damage at the plate: Torres went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Kerksiek went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Torres a new career-high. Declan Moylett was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one double, and one RBI.

Severance's win bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Mountain View, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.
