Volleyball Recap: Eastlake Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

Eastlake won the last time they faced Otay Ranch and things went their way on Friday too. The Titans came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Titans.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-20, 22-25, 25-15.

Sean Fleming paced Eastlake's offense, picking up 21 kills. Fleming got some help from Robert Almendarez and his 25 assists. Fleming was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Despite the loss, Otay Ranch still got an impressive performance from Gavin Cosico, who had 18 digs. Cosico is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in each of the last six games he's played.

Eastlake pushed their record up to 20-13 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Otay Ranch, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-19.

Eastlake does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Otay Ranch, they will square off against Scripps Ranch at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
