Softball Game Preview: McLean County Cougars vs. Warren Central Dragons

The McLean County Cougars will venture away from home to face off against the Warren Central Dragons at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Neither McLean County nor Warren Central posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Saturday just wasn't the day for McLean County's offense. They lost 15-0 to Larue County on Saturday. The Cougars have struggled against the Hawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Warren Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of McLean County.

McLean County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10-1. As for Warren Central, their loss dropped their record down to 2-18.

McLean County skirted past Warren Central 2-1 in their previous meeting on Friday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
