Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Lakeside

Lakeside extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 11-16 in the process. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Citrus Hill Hawks. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 19-12 victory back in April.

The team relied heavily on Reese Fisher, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.

As for Citrus Hill, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season. Their loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

The Centaurs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.48 runs per game on average), something the Hawks will no doubt try to take advantage of.
