Baseball Game Preview: Minco Bulldogs vs. Weatherford Eagles

The Minco Bulldogs will head out to square off against the Weatherford Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Minco has three straight wins, Weatherford has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Last Friday, Minco made easy work of Tipton and carried off a 9-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won three games by eight runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Cashton Johnson, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. AJ Brady also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Weatherford duked it out with Elgin on Saturday. Weatherford came up short against Elgin, falling 10-2.

Minco's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Weatherford, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
