Volleyball Recap: Newton Eagles vs. Carmi-White County Bulldogs
It was a good run, but Newton unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Carmi-White County Bulldogs. The shutout was out of character for the Eagles seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in August.

Newton's defeat dropped their record down to 24-6. As for Carmi-White County, the win (which was their 17th in a row) raised their record to 29-1.
Newton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Oblong on the 19th. Carmi-White County has also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Norris City-Omaha-Enfield on the 19th.
