Baseball Recap: South View Wins Going Away Against Jack Britt

South View hadn't done well against Jack Britt recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. South View was the clear victor by an 11-2 margin over Jack Britt. The high-scoring effort was just what the Tigers needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

David Ramsey was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Brayden Moncrief was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of South View's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 4-5 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Juan Mckoy, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

The victory got South View back to even at 6-6. As for Jack Britt, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.

South View has already played their next game, a 12-0 win against Seventy-First on the 28th. As for Jack Britt, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 21-1 victory against Douglas Byrd on the 28th.
