Basketball Recap: Central Baptist Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Central Baptist extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 11 on Friday, dropping them down to 0-3. They were outmatched by South Haven Christian and fell 71-29. The Swordsmen were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-19.

As for South Haven Christian, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 59.5 points this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Haven Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Trevor Steinbrook, who shot 42% from the field on his way to 16 points. Kade Atkinson was another key player, going 5-for-7 to rack up 11 points along with seven assists and three steals.

Coincidentally, Central Baptist and South Haven Christian will both be playing Franklin Road Christian the next time they take the court. South Haven Christian will host the Minutemen at 8:00 p.m. on December 1, while the Swordsmen will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on January 23, 2026.
