Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Sienna Knight and Elise Arends Lead Niwot to Victory

Niwot extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Harper Kellner. The Cougars blew past the Holy Family Tigers 3-0 on Thursday for which the team can thank Kellner, who had nine digs and three aces. Kellner is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 23 every time she's taken the court this season.

Niwot's got stronger as the match went on, holding Holy Family to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-21, 25-12.

Leading Niwot to victory were Elise Arends and Sienna Knight. Arends had 13 digs and two assists, while Knight had eight digs.

Despite the loss, Holy Family still got an impressive performance from Caroline Staff, who had seven digs and three aces.

Niwot's victory bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Holy Family, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Niwot didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Discovery Canyon on the 31st. As for Holy Family, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Frederick on the 28th.
