Football Recap: Cisco Loboes vs. Stamford Bulldogs
Cisco and Stamford squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Cisco had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Stamford Bulldogs 55-7. The Loboes were red-hot offensively headed into the game (they scored no less than 31 points in the three contests prior) but the Bulldogs' defense proved too tough.
Stamford's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaston Vega, who rushed for 118 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries, and also caught a touchdown. Vega also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making 15 total tackles and defending a pass. Cle Whitfield was another key rusher, rushing for 122 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries.
Cisco's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Stamford, their win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-0.
