Basketball Recap: Polk County Takes a Loss

Polk County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 64-45 bruising from the Tellico Plains Bears. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 72-43 back in December of 2024.

Polk County's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Tellico Plains, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Polk County will face off against Sweetwater at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tellico Plains, they will head out on the road to square off against Meigs County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
