Basketball Game Preview: Rice Consolidated Raiders vs. Edna Cowboys

Rice Consolidated hasn't had much luck against Edna recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Rice Consolidated Raiders are taking a road trip to challenge the Edna Cowboys at 1:15 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Rice Consolidated is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 13th straight game on Friday. They lost 47-21 to Lexington. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1471st, while the Eagles are ranked 493rd).

Edna has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They had to suffer through a 79-50 loss at the hands of La Grange.

Rice Consolidated's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Edna, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-7.
