Volleyball Recap: Gregory-Portland Comes Up Short on the Road Against Tuloso-Midway

Gregory-Portland had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 3-1 to the Tuloso-Midway Warriors & Cherokees on Tuesday. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors & Cherokees apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Gregory-Portland couldn't get the W, but boy did they fight for it: two sets took extra rallies. The final score came out to 25-20, 21-25, 26-24, 26-24.

Among those leading the charge was Alyson Cadena, who had 15 digs and three assists. Those 15 digs gave her a new career-high.

Looking ahead, Gregory-Portland will challenge Rio Grande City at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tuloso-Midway, they will be taking part in a tournament against Canton at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
