Softball Game Preview: Holton Wildcats vs. Perry-Lecompton Kaws

The Holton Wildcats will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Perry-Lecompton Kaws at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Holton made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Sabetha, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Bluejays with a sharp 21-1 win on Monday. The Wildcats' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Perry-Lecompton earned an 8-5 victory over St. Marys on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Kaws.

Macie Corcoran was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Autumn Flory, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Perry-Lecompton's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Holton, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
