Elizabeth was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Pueblo Centennial on Monday. The Cardinals blew past the Bulldogs 9-1. Trevor Bertsch was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits (and only one walk). Bertsch was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Brody Aldridge was excellent, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Cole Robinson, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI.
