Recap: Saunders Trades & Tech Blue Devils vs. Nanuet Golden Knights
On Monday, Saunders Trades & Tech was beaten by Nanuet 59-27. While losing is never fun, Saunders Trades & Tech can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 653rd, while Nanuet is ranked 325th).
Saunders Trades & Tech's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Micheal Patterson, who scored 14 points, and Alex Vazquez who scored nine points. Vazquez scored a full 33.3% of Saunders Trades & Tech's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Saunders Trades & Tech has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Nanuet, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Saunders Trades & Tech won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Gorton at 4:00 p.m. on January 9th. Gorton is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Nanuet, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Pearl River at 4:30 p.m. Pearl River is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
