Volleyball Recap: Cornerstone Christian Wins Going Away Against Valley Christian

Cornerstone Christian's tournament run continued when they took on Valley Christian on Thursday. The Patriots blew past the Eagles 3-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Cornerstone Christian took every set by at least 16 points. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-7, 25-9.

Gabby Colquitt paced Cornerstone Christian's offense, picking up 13 kills. Colquitt got some help from Savannah Patton and her 21 assists. Gabby Lee controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Cornerstone Christian is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-9 record this season. As for Valley Christian, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-16.

Coming up, Cornerstone Christian will take on David Anderson in a tournament on Tuesday. Valley Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
