Baseball Recap: Converse Takes a Loss

If Converse was riding high fresh off their 12-0 takedown of Negreet last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Converse Wildcats fell 4-1 to the Doyline Panthers on Thursday. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Converse saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Smith, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3.

Converse now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Doyline, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Converse will host Ebarb at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Doyline, they will face off against Choudrant at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
