Volleyball Recap: Wabash Valley Homeschool Makes It 11 in a Row on the Road

Wabash Valley HomeSchool posted their closest victory since April 11, 2024 on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Whiteland 2-1.

Wabash Valley HomeSchool had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-22, 15-9.

Despite the loss, Whiteland saw an underclassman step up: freshman Joseph Ngun had 11 digs and two aces. Those 11 digs set a new season-high mark for Ngun. Lance Rosales also deserves some recognition as he had his first kill of the season.

Wabash Valley HomeSchool pushed their record up to 15-4 with the victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Whiteland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-16.

Wabash Valley HomeSchool has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Indy Genesis HomeSchool on the 3rd. As for Whiteland, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Kalamazoo Central on the 3rd.
