Football Recap: Oak Mountain Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Oak Mountain had to start their season on the road on Wednesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 19-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Albertville Aggies. While the Eagles had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Aggies 12-0.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Oak Mountain will challenge rival Vestavia Hills at 5:30 p.m. on the 23rd. This will be the Eagles' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. Meanwhile, Albertville is set to square off against their familiar foe Clay-Chalkville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will also give the Aggies their first taste of in-conference action this season.
