Football Recap: Bowie Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Bowie was the 25-18 winner over Boyd when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Jackrabbits received a blow on Friday as they fell 35-21 to the Yellowjackets.

Aiden Young was the offensive standout of the matchup as he rushed for 39 yards and one score, and also threw for 37 yards and one touchdown.

Bowie has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Boyd, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Coming up, Bowie will be playing at home against Vernon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions' defense has only allowed 11.7 points per game this season, so the Jackrabbits' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Boyd, they will head out on the road to take on Iowa Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Yellowjackets will be up against the Hawks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
