Volleyball Recap: Eunice Comes Up Short

Eunice was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fort Sumner/House.

Eunice started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-23, 25-23, 25-23.

Eunice's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Fort Sumner/House, they pushed their record up to 2-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eunice will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Hatch Valley at 1:00 p.m. on September 12. As for Fort Sumner/House, they will venture away from home to challenge Roy/Mosquero at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
