Basketball Recap: Severna Park Comes Up Short

Severna Park has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 64-58 heartbreaker at the hands of the Glen Burnie Gophers. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Gophers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Severna Park's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Glen Burnie, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-7.

Looking ahead, Severna Park won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Arundel at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Arundel's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 12 matchups. As for Glen Burnie, they will welcome Severn Run at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
