Basketball Recap: Waterford's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Waterford came into Saturday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They secured a 41-37 W over the Frontier Cougars on Saturday. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Cougars last Tuesday, they had to take a 49-47 defeat.

Frontier lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Avery Powell, who posted 17 points and five boards. The game was Powell's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of True King, who earned four points and nine rebounds.

Waterford's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-7. As for Frontier, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Waterford will head out to face off against Caldwell at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Caldwell will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something Waterford surely won't give up without a fight. Frontier has already played their next match (against Bridgeport), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
