Calhoun/Brussels is a perfect 3-0 against Nokomis since December of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Calhoun/Brussels Warriors will face off against the Nokomis Redskins at 7:00 p.m.

Calhoun/Brussels is headed into Friday's game hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight losses. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 52-46 heartbreaker at the hands of Carrollton.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Nokomis had no trouble coming through when it counted. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Edinburg/South Fork 66-32. The Redskins have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 contests by 24 points or more this season.

Nokomis' win came from a few key players Calhoun/Brussels will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Alivia Sabol, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down nine or more in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Brownback, who posted 12 points and six rebounds.

Nokomis is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 27-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points over those games. As for Calhoun/Brussels, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-6.

Calhoun/Brussels didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Nokomis in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 40-34 win. Will Calhoun/Brussels repeat their success, or does Nokomis have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
