After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Willamette, South Eugene was happy to have turned things around on Sunday. They were the clear victors by a 12-3 margin over the Springfield Millers. The Axe's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

South Eugene's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Springfield, they dropped their record down to 2-2 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.
