Basketball Game Preview: Bolton Central Eagles vs. North Warren Central Cougars

The Bolton Central Eagles and the North Warren Central Cougars will round out the year against one another at at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Bolton Central is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.2 points per game this season.

Last Friday, Bolton Central was fully in charge, breezing past Newcomb Central 61-21. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 26 points or more this season.

Bolton Central can attribute much of their success to Jadynn Egloff, who posted 22 points, and Maille Kelley, who put up 20 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Egloff has scored at least a third of Bolton Central's points. Another player making a difference was Ella Hens, who had seven points.

Meanwhile, North Warren Central played a tough contest on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Lake George, falling 42-21. The defeat continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Lakers: they've now lost three in a row.

North Warren Central's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Bolton Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Everything came up roses for Bolton Central against North Warren Central in their previous matchup back in January, as the team secured a 51-21 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bolton Central since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
